Mohammed Babangida is a well-rounded individual with many interests. He has a passion for his family, business pursuits, sports activities, philanthropic efforts, and music. He is known as an inventive businessman – a reputation he’s attained ever since completing his academic studies in the United States and Europe. Concerning his philanthropy initiatives, he’s a certain affinity for projects concerning public education. In sports, he’s a member of the Kaduna Polo Club, where he is an accomplished polo player.

With specific experience in trading, real estate development, security services, oil & gas and banking, Mohammed Babangida has significant business acumen. At present, he serves as a special advisor for the JOC (joint operation committee) of the Santa Isabel Petroleum Company. The company is a China National Petroleum Company subsidiary. Mr. Babangida is accountable for negotiating and coordinating with suitable governmental agencies for Santa Isabel, in the company’s operational area – Equatorial Guinea.

Mohammed Babangida is also well rounded in his educational background, which serves him effectively in his diverse pursuits. At Robert Gordon University, he engages in ongoing studies in MSC Oil and Gas Management. In 2002, he attended the Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts, involved in the school’s Executive Program. He has a BA, Business Administration, along with an MA, Public Relations and Business Communication from Montreux, Switzerland’s European University. He achieved these in 1993 and 1994, respectively.

Fluent in French, English and Hausa, Mohammed Babangida enjoys reading. In addition to that, he enjoys and loves music. He and his wife and children live in Nigeria, in Niger State, where Mr. Babangida’s energy and enthusiasm contribute substantially to his efforts to serve his family, business activities and other interests in the best way.
